Tips For Shopping On Amazon
Amazon is one of my favorite places to shop online. And it helps that they make it SO easy! (Or if you ask my husbandā¦ maybe it doesnāt help?) But I love that I can get just about anything I need and want with the click of a button! PLUS free and fast shipping if youāre a Prime member! They also have an amazing Try Before you Buy! program where you have a TRIAL period before paying to decide if you like the clothes!!!

Iām always updating my favorite fashion finds HERE , but today Iāll be talking about my favorite Amazon fashion finds & must haveās for Fall! You should know, I tend to use the same pieces throughout my looks so you can see different ways to wear and style the pieces! Also keep in mind, most every piece I choose comes in more colors and patterns. So if you arenāt a fan of the color of the item shown, donāt worry, thereās usually more options for you to choose from to help make the style your own! And because Iām a beauty on a budget, most everything I choose to feature is under $50 and since itās all from Amazon, you can get it delivered fast with Prime or Try Before you Buy!
If youāre nervous about shopping for clothes on Amazon or anywhere online, hereās a few tips that help me feel total confidence when I shop online at Amazon!
Look at the return policy! Although there might be a few items that canāt be returned (so Iāve heard) I have purchased A LOT of things from Amazon and I have yet to buy something that wasnāt able to be returned. Amazonās standard return policy is to allow most items to be returned within 30 days for a full refund and I believe most vendors on Amazon fall in line with this policy! And if youāre like me and packaging, printing and shipping a box seems like way too much work for a refund, then youāre in luck! Amazon has collaborated with UPS stores to make the return policy as easy as possible!
Hereās howā¦
Start the return process online with your Amazon account. If you go into your past orders you will find an option for returns. Click there, answer the questions and reasons for returning and then select your UPS drop-off location. You should instantly receive a personalized QR code. Last step is to head to UPS with your return! UPS will then take your return and package and ship it for FREE! How awesome (and easy!) is that?
Read the reviews! So if youāre purchasing any of the items on this list, Iāve done this part of the work for you! But with any online purchase, and especially clothing, itās a good idea to take a look at what others who purchased it are saying about quality, fit and expectations! There are many times that Iāve carted an item before reading the reviews, and then after, decided to take it out.
While reading the reviews, keep in mind, not EVERYONE will be happy with their purchase. Usually, you can always find at least a few negative reviews. Sometimes itās because they received a defective product, sometimes itās because they ordered the wrong size or color (which is buyer error and has nothing to do with the actual product) and sometimes there are just people that can never be pleased. But I do take the time to look over a good amount of reviews. Usually, when shopping on Amazon I find there are more positive reviews over negative but sometimes I find the complaints over quality are overwhelmingly negative, and usually I decide it is a good idea to stay away from that product.
Look at the review pictures! This kinda goes with number 2, but I feel like this is SO important that it needs itās own point, especially when youāre buying clothes online! Stock pictures are great because itās what helps us fall in love with the product, but most of us are NOT built like a model! Thatās why I make sure to head to the reviews and if there are pictures available, I always look through them. If youāre lucky, youāll be able to find a review of someone with a similar body type as you describing the size and fit so you have a better idea of what to expect when you order! Unfortunately, there arenāt always reviews with pictures, let alone reviews with similar size and body style BUT itās always a good idea to check just in case. And even if you arenāt lucky, itās good to see the products on real women and read what they think about the fit and quality even if they arenāt your size and body type! What is āsmallā āfittedā ālooseā or ātrue to sizeā might mean something different to you then it does to the reviewer. Thatās why I take the time to look at many reviews and real life pictures and see what the overall opinion is of the product.
If you take the time and do these 3 things before you purchase anything on Amazon, I know you will feel confident making the purchase. And if all else fails, refer to number 1 and just head to UPS and return it!
